Biodegradable plastics can be divided into two types: complete biodegradable plastics and destructive biodegradable plastics.

1. At present, destructive biological degradation plastics mainly include starch modified (or filled) polyethylene PE, polypropylene PP, PVC, polystyrene PS, etc.

2. Fully biodegradable plastics are mainly made of natural polymers (such as starch, cellulose, chitin) or agricultural and sideline products by microbial fermentation or synthesis of biodegradable polymers, such as thermoplastic starch plastics, aliphatic polyester, polylactic acid, starch / polyol, etc.

At present, the biodegradable plastics based on natural substances such as starch mainly include the following products: PLA, PHA, starch plastics, bioengineering plastics, and bio general plastics (polyolefin and PVC).
